Athletic Trainer / Personal Trainer

Bio Health Care is looking for a BOC Athletic Trainer or Personal Trainer who is energetic and passionate about people's welfare, with a specialization in Corrective Exercise and Functional Movement Screening. As part of our expansion, we have a PRN position for those interested in being responsible for post-hire screenings, the management of early onset musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), and the development of client exercise and stretching programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct post-hire screenings to evaluate movement patterns and identify possible risk factors for injuries.

  • Offer immediate care, treatment, and rehabilitation services to manage the early stages of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).

  • Develop customized exercise and stretching schemes that focus on corrective exercises and functional movement for clients.

  • Collaborate with clients in setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing ongoing support and guidance.

  • Educate clients on proper body mechanics, safe training techniques, and injury prevention strategies.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress.

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and others, to offer comprehensive care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field (preferred).

  • Certification as either a Certified Athletic Trainer (preferred) or a Certified Personal Trainer (if not BOC AC) with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

  • It's highly preferable to have a certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and/or Functional Movement Specialist.

  • A strong understanding of injury prevention strategies, corrective exercise techniques, and functional movement screening is required.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

  • A business mindset and a passion for helping others achieve wellness.

  • Marketing experience is preferred.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn new design programs.

  • CPR certification is mandatory.
